Albuquerque Downtown

December 3 First Friday Show

I lived in Albuquerque for a few years in my 20s. I had my first apartment there. I feel like no one forgets their first apartment. The city always has plenty to offer in terms of architecture, food, culture and natural beauty. I was able to visit again in April of 2021.
Most of the photographs I am showing here were taken in Old Town. In the background of one of my photos is San Felipe de Neri church. It was built in 1793 less than 20 years after America officially stood as a country. Overall, I wanted to share what I was drawn to visually in Old Town and Albuquerque. To give a sense of place and history, however small or profound. And to reconnect with my old history as someone who once lived there.
